Division of Dan'l Furr's Land

In the year 1866 Daniel Furr sold the 537 acre home plantation of Paul Furr who had willed it to his wife, Mary Stutts Furr. Dan'l C. Furr and Paul W. Furr in turn sold for $100,000 their tracts to Edward Dodge of New York with the exception of "........ 4 acres for the dwelling house and buildings where Daniel Furr and his wife Sophia now reside which is to remain in their possession and full and quiet enjoyment during their joint lives and the life of the survivor..."

Isreal and Moses sold their tracts (202 A), now known as The Buffalo Creek Gold Mine to Wm. A. Smith on 11 Dec., 1866.
